Thomas Bewick School Receives Level 5 Food Hygiene Rating

At the end of last year, the kitchen at Thomas Bewick School Site 1 received a food hygiene inspection by Newcastle City Council. The Food Safety Officer reviewed the levels of hygienic food handling, cleanliness, facility conditions, and food safety management within the kitchen, and confirmed a Food Hygiene Rating of 5 – a standard that is ‘Very Good’. 

The Food Standards Agency work in partnership with Local Authorities like Newcastle City Council to ensure that food served and sold by businesses is safe, factual, healthy, and sustainable. We are delighted that Thomas Bewick School is recognised in having the most excellent standards when serving food for our pupils at lunchtimes. Well done to the Kitchen Team!
