Newcastle Bridges School Achieves Silver Better Health at Work Award
Return to Latest News
In April 2021, Newcastle Bridges School achieved the Bronze Better Health At work award, despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then they have continued to work very hard to support their staff health and wellbeing programme, and are delighted to announce that they have now achieved the Silver Award.
They have hosted and promoted several successful health campaigns throughout the past 3 years including involvement in many national and local campaigns. Helen McGowan, Assistant Headteacher, would like to thank all staff for their involvement, and the wellbeing team for their continued support in promoting events and collating the required evidence.
"In summation, Newcastle Bridges School has produced a good Silver submission and it is encouraging to see such buy-in from leaders and staff. This should be nurtured and grown so that the comments and experience of staff at NBS reflected in the Ofsted report remain so positive and are representative of all staff groups. NBS are very much the example to follow within the trust and their best practice is a great transferable resource to draw upon." - Quote from Better Health at Work's Silver Award Report.
