Newcastle Bridges School Retain Outstanding Ofsted Performance

Newcastle Bridges School, part of Prosper Learning Trust, received a continued ‘Outstanding’ inspection from school inspectors Ofsted in their May 2022 report.

Newcastle Bridges School is a multi-site alternative provision academy within Prosper Learning Trust which provides education to pupils aged 4-19 across Newcastle-upon-Tyne and the North East whose education has been interrupted by mental or physical ill-health or school phobia.

The inspectors reported on how pupils flourish and behave and achieve exceptionally well at Newcastle Bridges School, under an ambitious curriculum and understanding teaching staff across the multiple supportive sites.

Kevin Stafford, Head of School, Newcastle Bridges School said “I am immensely proud of all of the staff and grateful for all of their hard work over the past 6 years which has culminated in this outcome. They are a wonderful team who provide an amazing service to all of our young people.”

Jeff Lough, Chair of Newcastle Bridges School’s Local Advisory Committee felt “the ‘Outstanding’ judgment from Ofsted is due to the whole Newcastle Bridges School and Prosper Learning Trust community coming together and fulfilling their vision and ethos, to achieve the best possible outcomes for all students in their care.”
