What an amazing first week back after the Christmas break for Oak Class. The pupils started off the week by using their listening and speaking skills to tell everyone about their time off over Christmas and the New Year. They began their new topic in English, where they looked at Dr Seuss's 'Cat in the Hat'. Here, they watched a guided drawing video of how to draw the Cat in the Hat and then labelled this with some fantastic describing words.

Oak Class created and started their new sensory circuit routine, which really supports them in feeling regulated and ready to learn. In Science, the pupils have looked at states of matter and sorted out solids, liquids, and gases.

In Maths, they have begun to look at their times tables, starting with arrays. They have looked at different mountains around the world and even used their independent skills to find this in an atlas. They looked at keeping safe on the internet in ICT. It has definitely been a fantastic week full of new learning.

Happy New Year from Oak Class pupils and staff.
