Newcastle Bridges School Pupils Learn New Skills at Alnwick Garden
Return to Latest News
Newcastle Bridges School pupils had the opportunity to visit Alnwick Garden, where they visited different sites and learned new skills at each one. When spending time in the Treehouse Cafe, they were taught by the assistant manager how to serve customers. This included being shown how to greet, take orders, and deliver the products to the customer.
The pupils who volunteered then had the chance to use the coffee machine to make cups of coffee and tea. Scones were also served to one another, which were then of course tasted; they were delicious.
As well as the Treehouse, the pupils were placed at the entrance to the main gardens and stood handing out leaflets to visitors and politely greeting them.
