Fixed term contract: 4th January 2022 – 31st December 2022

30 hours per week, 4 days per week, 8.30 am – 4.30 pm. Term-time only +5 training days as directed by the school.

Newcastle Bridges School are seeking to appoint a temporary administrative assistant with relevant experience in a school or similar environment to join our busy, friendly admin team, starting on 4th January 2022. The successful applicant will be expected to work at any of the school’s sites as required, but initially to be based at the main school site at Kenton, and at the hospital school at the Great North Children’s Hospital, operating a split-week rota between the two locations. The post holder will be expected to be able to manage their own workload and respond to the many interruptions of a busy office. The successful applicant needs to be committed, flexible, and motivated in their work. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

Newcastle Bridges School consists of multiple school sites catering for the specific needs of its pupils both locally and nationally. The post will predominantly be across two sites: the Great North Children’s Hospital, a Newcastle city centre inpatient hospital for children who have medical conditions and require a period of inpatient stay; and the Kenton site for secondary aged pupils who are unable to access mainstream school due to medical and mental health needs.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain an enhanced Certificate of Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service and go through a range of other recruitment checks.
